Quando parlo alle persone dei miei assorbenti lavabili, la reazione è quasi sempre un piccolo shock. Assorbenti...che si lavano?! Ma sì! Gli assorbenti usa e getta sono un'invenzione molto recente, nel passato le donne hanno sempre usato panni di diversi tipi... e si sta molto meglio con gli assorbenti lavabili! Forse ti chiedi:

 

When I talk to people about my cloth pads, they're generally shocked. Pads...that you wash?! Of course! Disposable pads are a pretty recent invention. In the past women have always used different types of cloths...and were so much better off! Maybe you're wondering:  

 

Ma, perché dovrei usare assorbenti lavabili?

But, why should I use cloth pads?

Sono molti i motivi. Iniziamo con LA SPESA. Diciamo che usi due pacchi di assorbenti usa e getta al mese e che un pacco costa €4,50. Quindi €108 all'anno, anche se questa cifra è molto variabile. Donne con un ciclo pesante, lungo, e/o irregolare possono usare una quantità folle di prodotti per mestruazione. Per le mamme, c'è anche il dopo parto. Tutte quelle settimane di "perdite" che non finiscono mai = tantissime confezioni di assorbenti. Gli assorbenti lavabili, invece, dopo il primo investimento, vengono riutilizzati volta più volta per diversi anni e costano...NIENTE! 

There are plenty of reasons. Let's start with
THE COST. Let's say you use two packs of disposable pads a month and one pack costs €4,50. So €108 a year, even if this amount is pretty variable. Women with a heavy, long, and/or irregular period can use a ridiculous amount of menstrual products. And for the mammas there's the post-partum period. All those weeks of "discharge" that never ends = endless packages of pads. Cloth pads, on the other hand, after the first investment, are used time and again for years and cost...NOTHING!  
 
L'AMBIENTE. Oramai parliamo continuamente dell'emergenza rifiuti, delle discariche piene. Le discariche sono riempite all'orlo con prodotti inutili e soprattutto difficilmente biodegradabili. I prodotti per la mestruazione non sono un'eccezione. Ogni anno più di 14 MILIARDI di assorbenti e tamponi interni vengono buttati nelle discariche (info da Associated Content e Reusable Menstrual Products). E ci vogliono secoli perché la plastica si decomponga. E, ovviamente, in più c'è anche la plastica da imballaggio. Per produrre assorbenti e tamponi tanti materiali sono fabbricati, usando energia e risorse, per essere usati una volte e gettati via.

Come i pannolini, le salviette, e qualunque altro prodotto usa e getta, gli assorbenti di carta sono pieni di sostanze sintetiche e tossiche. La "carta" in questi prodotti è bianco puro e assorbente grazie a tanti chimici, inclusi lattice, diossina e sodio polyacrylate, alcuni dei quali sono letali e cancerogeni. Tutte queste sostanze vengono assorbite dalle terra ed entrano nelle falde acquifere e prima o poi tornano a noi. Questo ci porta a....

THE ENVIRONMENT. These days we're constantly discussing the trash emergency and full landfills, which are stuffed to the brim with useless and non-biodegradable products. Menstrual products are no exception. Every year more than 14 BILLION disposable pads and tampons are tossed into our landfills (info from Associated Content and Reusable Menstrual Products). And it takes centuries for the plastic to decompose. In addition there's also the plastic and paper packaging. In order to make pads and tampons tons of materials are manufactured, using energy and resources, to be used once and thrown out.

As with diapers, wipes, and whatever other disposable product, disposable pads are full of synthetic and toxic substances. The paper in these products is pure white thanks to lots of chemicals, including latex, dioxin and sodium polyacrylate, some of which are lethal and cancerogenous. All of these substances are absorbed by the soil and contaminate ground water and eventually come right back to us. And this brings us to.... 
 
LA SALUTE. Certo, non vogliamo queste sostanze nelle discariche, nelle falde acquifere, nella terra e neanche premute contro i nostri genitali. Questi chimici possono causare irritazioni e reazioni gravi. Non è una sorpresa, visto che abbiamo già detto che si tratta di sostanze tossiche. Molte donne che soffrono di dolore alle parti intime con l'uso di assorbenti usa e getta trovano che il dolore sparisce subito usando assorbenti lavabili. Altre trovano che il ciclo cambia con l'uso di assorbenti lavabili, che dura meno tempo e che si perde meno sangue con meno problemi di crampi, grumi di sangue e altri sintomi poco piacevoli.

YOUR HEALTH. Sure, we don't want all this junk in our landfills, ground water, soil, and certainly not squished against our genitals. These chemicals can cause irritations and severe reactions. It's no surprise, seeing as we've already said that we're talking about toxic materials. Many women that feel external pain in their genital area find that the pain goes right away using cloth pads. Others find that their period changes, becoming shorter and lighter with fewer problems of cramps, clotting and other less-than-pleasant symptoms.  
 
SONO DIVERTENTI! I giorni delle mestruazioni per alcune possono essere una sofferenza, perché non renderli il più possibile piacevoli?! I tessuti a contatto con la pelle sono morbidi e comodissimi, la fanno respirare. Invece di stare lì, cercando di togliere pezzetti di adesivo e plastica dallo slip, puoi guardare i bei colori e fantasie dei tuoi assorbenti, divertirti ad indossare un altro indumento carino, e migliorerà sicuramente il tuo umore.

 

THEY'RE FUN! For some women, "that time of the month" can be unbearable, so why not make it as pleasant as possible?! The fabrics in contact with the skin are soft and comfortable, letting the skin breathe. Instead of being there, trying to pick pieces of plastic and glue off of your undies, you can look at your pads' lovely colors and patterns as just another article of clothing, and you're sure to feel better! 

*NOTA* Ci saranno donne che leggono questa pagina e pensano, "Bene, ma io uso anche/esclusivamente assorbenti interni." Per fortuna esiste una risposta ecologica meravigliosa, the Diva Cup, una coppetta di silicone che, invece di assorbire il sangue, lo raccoglie. Viene con una garanzia, dura una decina di anni e vale molto di più di quello che costa. Purtroppo per le italiane, questo prodotto viene dal Canada e non si trova facilmente in Italia, ma si può comprarlo su eBay.

Esistono parecche altre marche di coppetta mestruale, ad esempio the Moon Cup, che non ho mai usato personalmente, ma ho sentito che è ugualmente meravigliosa e si trova in Italia alla Bottega della Luna o eBay. Io, avendo un flusso molto pesante, uso Diva Cup con assorbenti cucicucicoo, e mi trovo benissimo.

*NOTE* There will certainly be women who are reading this page and thinking, "Yeah, but I only/also use tampons." Luckily there is a wonderful ecological alternative to tampons, the Diva Cup, a silicon cup which, instead of absorbing the blood, collects it. It comes with a warrantee, lasts about 10 years and is worth plenty more than it costs. Unfortunately for Italians, this product comes from Canada and isn't easily found in Italy, but you can buy it on eBay.

There are many other brands of menstrual cups, such as the Moon Cup, which I've never used myself, but I've heard that it's just as wonderful and in Italy you can find it at Bottega della Luna or eBay. Having a terribly heavy period, I use the Diva Cup with my cucicucicoo pads, and no longer dread my period.

 

Come sono fatti gli assorbenti cucicucicoo?
What are cucicucicoo pads like?
 

Tutti gli assorbenti cucicucicoo sono Tutto-In-Uno (AIO) cioè gli strati assorbenti sono cuciti all'interno, quindi non c'è bisogno di alcuna operazione fastidiosa per indossarli. Lo strato inferiore e del PUL, o cotone o poliestere, in tinta unita o fantasia, laminato al retro, che lo rende impermeabile, ma traspirante. La laminazione si trova all’interno dell’assorbente, dunque non viene mai in contatto con la pelle. Gli assorbenti regolari, ultra e super duper classici hanno lo strato superiore di o microfleece o suedecloth. Questi tessuti, che sono sottili, morbidissimi e resistenti alle macchie, sono drenanti, cioè portano il liquido giù negli strati assorbenti al disotto, lasciando lo strato a contatto con la pelle più asciutto. 

In più, tutti gli assorbenti cucicucicoo hanno delle ali larghe che proteggono i lati dello slip. Si fissano sotto lo slip con un bottoncino metallico a pressione. Si può sapere il verso giusto dell'assorbente tenendo la parte colorata del bottoncino verso l’alto. 

All cucicucicoo pads are All-In-One (AIO), meaning their absorbent layers are sewn inside, so there's no need for any annoying inserts or straps to use them. The pads have a bottom layer of PUL, laminated cotton or polyester in uplifting colors and patterns. This makes the pad waterproof, though breathable. The laminated surface is on the inside of the pad, so it does not come in contact with the skin. The classic cucicucicoo regular, ultra and super duper pads have a top layer of either microfleece of suedecloth. These fabrics, besides being super soft and stain-resistant, are thin wicking fabrics which pull moisture down into the inner absorbent layers, leaving the layer against your skin nice and dry.

In addition, all cucicucicoo pads have wide wings to protect the edges of your underwear and are closed underneath with a metal snap. You can tell the right way to wear the pad by keeping the colored part of the snap facing up.

MEGA Questa opzione è la salvazione di chi ha perdite molto profuse, perfetto per l'uso di notte o dopo il parto. Oltre ad essere l'assorbente cucicucicoo più lungo e con maggiore capacità di assorbenza, ha un posteriore molto largo per proteggere i vestiti e le lenzuola. I canali laterali cuciti minimizzano l’estensione del fluido sulle ali. E’ lungo 36 cm con uno strato superiore di o microfleece o suedecloth (1), all'interno spugna di cotone per assorbenza e sotto il PUL (2).

This option is a life-saver for ladies with a very heavy flow, perfect for nighttime use or the post-partum period. Besides being the longest and most absorbent cucicucicoo pad, it has a special widened back to protect clothes and bed sheets. The lateral sewn channels minimize the spreading of fluid to the wings. Come ci si prende cura degli assorbenti cucicucicoo?

How do you take care of cucicucicoo cloth pads? 

  

Facile! Dopo l'uso si mettono in acqua fredda in una tinozza. Consiglio di sciacquarli prima sotto l'acqua corrente per togliere buona parte del sangue. Fino al momento in cui li laverai, almeno una volta al giorno, butta l'acqua (o usala per innaffiare le piante, funziona da concime) e aggiungi acqua fresca. Si possono lavare in lavatrice da soli, con i pannolini, o con altri indumenti scuri in acqua fredda. Volendo si può aggiungere il Napisan o altro additivo disinfettante durante il lavaggio, ma non si deve usare l’ammorbidente, che riduce le capacità di assorbenza dei tessuti. E' consigliabile asciugarli all'aria aperta e al sole, ma è anche possibile usare l'asciugatrice elettrica. Quando sono ben asciutti, mettili in un cesto, un sacco chiuso col cordoncino, oppure direttamente nel mobile del bagno, pronti per il prossimo uso. Come tutti i prodotti cucicucicoo, è consigliabile il lavaggio prima dell’uso.

Easy! Put used pads in cold water in a basin or other container. I suggest rinsing them first to get rid of most of the blood. Change the water (try using it to water your plants-it works like fertilizer) and add fresh water at least once a day until washing day. You can machine wash them alone, with diapers, or with dark clothes in cold water. If you want, you can also add Napisan or another disinfecting additive. Do not use fabric softener, which reduces the fabric's absorbency. It's best to air dry them in the sun, but you can also use a machine drier. When they're completely dry, store them in a basket, drawstring bag or in your bathroom cupboard until the next time you'll need them. As with all cucicucicoo products, it is suggested that you wash them prior to use.

Quando devi uscire, nessun problema! Porta qualche assorbente in più e mettili in una borsa impermeabile carina della misura S quando avrai finito di usarli.

When you go out, no problem! Just bring extra pads with you and put them into a cute size small wet bag when you're done using them.

Che cos'è un "wet bag"?

What is a wet bag?

Un wet bag ("borsa bagnato") è una borsa impermeabile lavabile in cui mettere indumenti o oggetti sporchi e/o bagnati, tipo pannolini, salviette e assorbenti, ma anche vestiti sporchi, costumi da bagno e trucchi, creme e shampoo per viaggiare. Funziona come semplice busta di plastica, ma è molto più piacevole esteticamente. Si può lavare e riutilizzare, tenere dentro cose diverse senza che siano visibili, non c'è il rischio che si strappi e manca quel fastidioso rumore di plastica.

 A wet bag is a washable waterproof pouch in which you can put wet or dirty clothes or objects, such as diapers, wipes, and menstrual pads, but also dirty clothes, bathing suits, and travel toiletries. It works just like a simple plastic bag, but is much nicer to look at. You can wash and reuse it, keep all sorts of things inside without their being visible, there's no risk that it will tear open and you'll never miss that annoying plastic bag crinkle!

L'esterno (1) è di cotone con bei colori e fantasie con una fascia ad anello (2) lunga 11 cm, larga abbastanza per appendere al polso, ad una maniglia del passeggino, o un gancio in bagno. L'interno è rivestito con PUL (3), cioè laminato di cotone o poliestere in tinta unita. Questa fodera interna è resistente all'acqua, quindi l'umidità del contenuto non potrà passare allo strato esterno. Infine una cerniera (4) chiude il tutto.

The outside (1) is cotton in lovely patterns and colors with an 11cm loop (2) wide enough to hang from your wrist, a stroller handle, or bathroom hook. The inside is lined in PUL (3), a laminated solid-colored cotton or polyester. This lining is waterproof, so the outside of the bag won't get damp. And finally a colored zipper (4) closes it up.

Come si tiene cura del wet bag?

How do you take care of a wet bag?

Semplice! Se si sporca la fodera interna, si pulisce con una spugna o un fazzoletto umido. Dopo l'uso è meglio lasciarlo aperto e non piegato per fare prendere aria all'interno e lasciarlo asciugare completamente. Quando è necessaria una pulizia più profonda, si lava in lavatrice con la cerniera aperta insieme a panni normali, fino a 60°C. Come tutti i prodotti cucicucicoo, è consigliabile il lavaggio prima dell'uso.

Easy! If the lining gets dirty, just wipe it off with a damp sponge or hanky. It's best to leave it open and and unfolded after use so it can get aired out and dry off properly. When a more intense washing is necessary, unzip it and wash it in the washing machine with regular clothes, up to 60°C (warm or warm/hot). As with all cucicucicoo products, it is suggested that you wash it prior to use.

What sizes do cucicucicoo wet bags come in?

 
Ce ne sono disponibili tre:

Piccolo (18cm x 16cm): Quando esci di casa, puoi mettere 5-6 salviette* umide per tutte le pulizie necessarie. In alternativa, si possono inserire fino a 3 assorbenti* o 5 salvaslip (mini)*.

Medio (30cm x 26cm): Ottimo per uscite brevi con il bambino; entrano 3 pannolini di taglia S o 2 di taglia M o L*, più le salviette*.

Grande (35cm x 32cm): Molto utile per uscite più lunghe con il bambino; entrano 6 pannolini di taglia S o 4 di taglia M o L*, più le salviette*.

There are three sizes:

Small (18cm x 16cm): When leaving home, you can put 5-6 damp wipes* inside for all your cleaning needs. Otherwise, you can fit in up to 3 menstrual pads* or 5 pantyliners (mini)*.

Medium (30cm x 26cm): Perfect for quick trips out with the baby; you can fit in 3 size S diapers or 2 of sizes M or L*, plus wipes*.

Large (35cm x 32cm): Very useful for longer trips out with the baby; you can fit in 6 size S diapers or 4 of sizes M or L*, plus wipes*.

Perché usare salviette cambio bebè lavabili?

Why use cloth baby wipes?

I motivi sono gli stessi di quelli che portano ad usare i pannolini lavabili. Le spese per l'acquisto di salviette usa e getta si accumulano: un costo inutile quando quelle lavabili possono essere usate tantissime volte, per anni, bambino dopo bambino, per pulire anche i bambini più grandi, anche al posto della carta igienica. Le salviette usa e getta sembrano all'apparenza sottili e senza un volume significativo, ma in un solo anno i residenti dell'America del Nord ne buttano ben 83.000 tonnellate (vedi Green Home per ulteriori informazioni). Sarebbe come riempire 9.000 TIR che, messi uno dopo l'altro, formerebbero una coda lunga 100 kilometri. In più sono costruite quasi completamente di materiali sintetici che non si decompongono facilmente. Dunque, mentre le tue salviette si adagiano nelle discariche e non si decompongono, i componenti chimici in esse presenti e p&p (pipì e pupù) si infiltrano nella terra, contaminandola. Mentre i p&p di erbivori, ad esempio gli asini e i piccioni, sono frequentemente usati come concime e arricchiscono la terra, i p&p di carnivori (come noi umani siamo!) contengono dei virus che possono contaminare le falde acquifere o usare come veicoli insetti che poi li ritrasmettono agli umani e agli animali. P&p devono essere smaltiti solamente nei wc per poi essere trattati correttamente!

The reasons are the same as those for using cloth diapers. The cost for disposable wipes adds up, a useless expense when cloth wipes are cheap and can be used over and over again, year after year, baby after baby, for cleaning up messy toddlers, even in lieu of toilet paper. Disposable wipes may seem thin and without any significant volume, but in just one year, the residents of North America disposed of 83,000 tons of wipes (see Green Home for more information). That would be like filling 9,000 18-wheel semi-trailers which, when put bumper to bumper, would go on for 68 miles. They are also made almost completely of synthetic materials which do not biodegrade easily. So while your wipes are sitting in a landfill and not decomposing, the chemicals and human p&p (pee and poo) on them seep into the ground, contaminating it. While the p&p of herbivores, such a donkeys or pigeons, is frequently used as fertilizer and enriches soil, the p&p of carnivores (like most of us humans!) contain viruses which can contaminate the water supply or insects that can then retransmit it to humans and animals (see Diaper Pin). Human waste needs to be disposed of in toilets so it can be treated properly at sewer plants!

So we use wipes to clean off our babies' delicate areas, their hands, even their faces, right? Well, take a package of disposable wipes and read the list of ingredients. They start off with the innocuous "Aqua," but soon gets worse with "Panthenol, Bisabolol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylene Glycol, Ethtylhexyl Stearate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Phenoxyethanol..." and so on.

Se fai una ricerca sul web riguardo a queste sostanze, troverai che alcune sono irritanti, altre addirittura potenzialmente legate al cancro, ecc. A farla breve, tutta roba che non è propriamente adatta ad essere strofinata sulla pelle morbida e sensibile di un bambino piccolo. Non è una sorpresa che i bambini che usano pannolini e salviette lavabili hanno molto meno problemi con rossore ed irritazioni. 


If you do a web search on these ingredients, you will find that some are irritants, others even potentially linked to cancer, and so on. In short, stuff that has no business being rubbed into a child's soft, sensitive skin. It's no surprise that babies using cloth diapers and wipes have considerably fewer problems with diaper rash and irritation.

Le salviette lavabili cucicucicoo non hanno assolutamente nulla di sintetico né di chimico, solo uno strato di flanella di cotone di prima qualità (1) e uno strato di spugna di cotone assorbente (2) cuciti insieme a formare un quadrato di 17.5 cm x 17.5 cm. Il lato con la spugna è perfetto per pulire lo sporco principale, dopo di che si piega e si usa il lato con la flanella per togliere quello rimasto. Mentre è raro poter pulire un culetto particolarmente sporco con una sola leggera salvietta usa e getta, è veramente raro doverne usare più d'una lavabile cucicucicoo.

Cucicucicoo wipes have absolutely nothing synthetic or chemical in them, just one layer of top-quality cotton flannel (1) and one layer of absorbent cotton terrycloth (2) sewn back-to-back, forming a 7"x7" (17.5 x 17.5 cm) square. The terry side is great for cleaning up the main mess, after which you can fold it over and use the flannel side to wipe up anything left behind. While it's rare to be able to clean up a big mess with just one flimsy disposable wipe, it's rare to need to use more than one cucicucicoo wipe.

there are now also organic cucicucicoo wipes! they're the same size, but constructed with organic cotton flannel and organic cotton micro-terry, both natural white colored.

Ce ne sono tanti modi. In passato ho consigliato una soluzione casalinga per salviette fatta con olio e shampoo per bambini, ma in seguito ho scoperto che questi contengono degli ingredienti che fanno paura! Quindi ora consiglio di usare solo l'acqua del rubinetto; costa poco, non si deve preparare e funziona benissimo!

There are lots of ways. In the past I suggested a handmade solution for wipes with baby oil and shampoo, but after I discovered that these contain some pretty creepy ingredients! So now I suggest just using water from your faucet; it doesn't cost anything, you don't have to prepare anything, and it works great!

Si possono bagnare le salviette ogni volta che servono, ma ho un modo mio. Prendo una manciata di salviette e le metto sotto il rubinetto. Le strizzo e le metto dentro un contenitore di plastica per le salviette usa e getta. Se non ce l'hai, puoi anche usare un contenitore pulito per il gelato o qualunque altro contenitore da cucina che evita le perdite di liquido. E basta! E quando esci, nessun problema; sistema qualche salvietta umida in un contenitore per salviette usa e getta più piccolo, un wet bag, o una busta di plastica che si chiude bene...e vai tranquilla!


You can wet the wipes each time you need them, but I do it another way. I grab a handful of wipes and wet them under the faucet. I squeeze out excess water and put them inside a plastic disposable wipe container. If you don't have one, you can also use a clean plastic ice cream container or any kitchen container that closes with a lid and won't leak. And that's it! And when you go out, no problem! Put a few moist wipes in a smaller disposable wipe container, a wet bag, or a sealable plastic bag...and you're on your way!
 
Con mio secondo figlio ho anche cominciato a tenere sempre qualche salviette asciutta a portato di mano per asciugare il sederino prima di mettere un nuovo pannolino o di applicare la cremina.

With my second child I also started keeping a few dry wipes on hand to dry baby's bum before putting on a new diaper or applying diaper cream.

Ci sono due modi per lavare le salviette ed i pannolini lavabili. Io uso il metodo “dry pail,” cioè secchio asciutto, in cui si mettono le salviette ed i pannolini sporchi in un secchio di plastica con un coperchio che si chiude a scatto. Quando è pieno, devi solo mettere il contenuto direttamente in lavatrice e ogni due o tre svuotamenti sciacquare l'interno del secchio e farlo asciugare all'aria. L’altro metodo si chiama “wet pail,” cioè secchio bagnato, in cui si riempie il secchio di acqua (e facoltativamente bicarbonato) per fare in modo che le salviette sporche rimangano bagnate. Io ho trovato che il metodo “dry pail” elimina gli odori in modo più efficace, è più semplice e spreca meno acqua.

There are two ways to wash cloth wipes and diapers. I use the "dry pail" method, which means you put dirty wipes and diapers into a large plastic garbage can with locking top. When it's full, you just dump the contents of the bucket into the washer and every two of three washings give the inside of the bucket a quick rinse and air dry. The other method is "wet pail," in which you fill the bucket with water (and optionally baking soda) so the dirty articles stay wet until they are washed. I find the dry pail method eliminates odor better, is easier and wastes less water.

 

Lava le salviette insieme ai pannolini se li usi, ma non con altri indumenti, a 60°C, caldo abbastanza per uccidere i batteri senza troppo spreco di energia. Non dimenticare di fare un prelavaggio senza detersivo, sempre in lavatrice, in modo da sciacquare prima il grosso dello sporco. Non usare l’ammorbidente, che riduce le capacità di assorbenza dei tessuti. E' consigliabile stenderle ad asciugare al sole per eliminare meglio le macchie, anche se è possibile asciugarle in asciugatrice elettrica. Come tutti i prodotti cucicucicoo, è consigliabile il lavaggio prima dell’uso.

Wash the wipes with your diapers if you use them, but not with any other washables, at 60°C (warm/medium-hot), which is hot enough to kill bacteria without using too much energy. Don't forget to add a pre-rinse cycle to rinse away most of the p&p. Do not use fabric softener, which reduces the fabric's absorbency. You can machine dry them on warm, but air-drying them in the sun helps get rid of any stains. As with all cucicucicoo products, it is suggested that you wash them prior to use.

 

Ci vogliono solo pochi minuti per usare le salviette lavabili. Il tuo bambino si divertirà tanto a vedere i colori e fantasie (mia figlia gioca spesso con le sue salviette pulite), non avrai certamente contribuito a danneggiare l'ambiente e la salute e non ti dovrai mai più preoccupare che finiscono le salviette o di dover correre fuori a comprarle!

Using cloth wipes only takes a few minutes. Your child will love looking at the different colors and patterns (my daughter loves playing with her clean wipes), you won't have harmed the environment or your child's health and you'll never have to worry about running out of wipes and having to run out to buy more!

How many cucicucicoo wipes should I have?

Se usi pannolini lavabili, probabilmente occorreranno 15-20. Se non usi pannolini lavabili, consiglio di avere molte salviette per poter meglio riempire la lavatrice, almeno 30, e poi usare il metodo "wet pail" descritto sopra, visto che passerà più tempo prima che le salviette sporche vengono lavate. E' sempre consigliabile avere più salviette del necessario, che non abbastanza. Le salviette cucicucicoo vengono vendute in set di cinque.

If you are cloth diapering, you will probably want 15-20 wipes. If you are not using cloth diapers, I suggest having a lot of wipes to maximize washing loads, at least 30, and then use the wet pail method described above, seeing as the dirty wipes will be sitting around a lot longer before getting washed. If in doubt, it's always better to have too many than too few wipes. Cucicucicoo wipes are sold in sets of five.
